Default Htc Sensation won't turn on

I bought the Sensation yesterday, discharged it, than fully charged it. I took out the battery now the replace the memory card, and the phone won't start. What could be the problem?

Are you positive you charged the battery after discharging it. I accidentally did this before, charger was unplugged. Other than that, the power button is a simple press and release, not a press and hold like some other phones.

Hey. I just bought the HTC Sensation a couple of hours ago. I was absolutely loving it until I opened the back and had to put a higher gig mini sd card in. I took the battery out too and put it back in+the cover. The Sensation won't turn on. I plugged it into the charger and tried to turn it on-still nothing. I tried hard reset procedures-still nothing. I'm a first time Android user/buyer and htc user and I was loving my new phone until this happened. Can anyone help me? I really don't want to head back to the store to get it replaced, it's a trek.

I just got my sensation three days ago. Last night I had it plugged in, and it was on and working fine. But the alarm never went off in the morning, and I couldn't get the phone to turn on. I took the battery out and put it back in and still nothing. When I got to work I plugged it back in and it came on. It looks like this may be a common problem. Have any of you gotten any answers in regards to this? Have you returned yours and gotten one that doesn't seem to have this issue? Don't know if I should return it or not.

I just had this exact same problem this morning and ony got my phone 5 days ago. I'd love to know if this is a problem common in most handsets or just some.

I had mine a few days and it began to freeze half screen a few times. This required removing the battery, replacing and restarting. Over the weekend I did a "hard reset" as that seems to be the only option when things keep going wrong. It had been better until today when I woke it up and it wouldn't connect to WiFi thought it said it was and the GPS icon was on even though in Settings it was off. I restarted and it seems to be ok ....... So far.
Not as stable as my iPhone 3G so far.
It has been suggested elsewhere that a hard reset before you get underway is a good idea. Doesn't make sense, but ..........
As far as the bigger mSD card goes, I think the phone only supports 32G and only "approved" cards. That may mean that it only supports certain "classes" of mSD. But I haven't found an indication anywhere of what.
This page lists mSD cards from different sources and you can see here the mention of classes. The higher classes are faster, for one.
    Here's some in depth reading.

I suggest removing the battery for a few secs. Put it back in and do a hard reset. That will blow out Htc in the phone and give you a clean slate.
    From the manual.

"If you canít turn HTC Sensation 4G on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC Sensation 4G.
    1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
    2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
    3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
    4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button."

I bought an HTC sensation 1 month ago and it worked ok. This evening I was listening to music on it and the phone stopped working. I pushed the power button and when it came back up there were a number of zip/image files missing during the reboot. It took me to the 3 androids skating and sat there. I pushed the up volume button (because the down volume button won't work) to cycle through the options. The power button will not work as the "select" button. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix this? I tried removing the battery on several occasions and it does the same thing. I'm not sure I can flash the ROM because I hooked it to my computer and my computer won't recognize it. This is really frustrating. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

    Default try again

did you remove the batt before doing the reset?
In either case, try the reset again as written above.
If that doesn't get you there, I'd say back to the dealer, ASAP.
