    Unhappy Sensation worst phone ever?

I bought this phone new in July, for €500 and I've just about had enough of it. On paper it seems great but I'm sorry now I didn't buy the Iphone. The Htc slogan quietly brilliant should have gave me some clue before I bought it. The speaker on the phone is so bad its impossible to use it as hands free in a car, I just cant hear it even at full volume so now I have to buy a bluetooth speaker. Its the same watching movies on it cant hear whats going on. Bad effort lads. And then there is the constant freezing. If im lucky it only freezes for a couple of minutes but it has froze solid for 10 mins before. If it crashes/freezes while Im trying to watch a film I know its going to be useless for at least 5 mins while it tries to reboot, if its just a normal (3+) times per day its hopefully only for a minute or two. Its advertised as having fast internet browsing which in fairness it does its just when I go back to the home screen its guaranteed to crash yet again for 2-3 mins so it defeats the purpose of fast browsing if I cant use the phone afterwards. I feel like I wasted my money on this phone. I emailed HTC about the low sound and they didnt even get back to me. One phone I would not recommend

For me, its a different story, but with the same ending. This phone pisses me off. The phone, when it works, is really enjoyable and polyvalent. But this is stupid.

My phone keeps closing for no reason about 5 to 10 times a day, even if I'm not using it. I have to reopen it everytime. Sometimes the battery is full, the phone crashes and when i reopen it the battery is at 3%. Sometimes, when I plug the phone in to recharge before going to sleep, the orange led shows up normally, and in the morning the phone had stopped charging, but is only at 30%. Sometimes it sends me an error message about my sd card that would not be inserted? I just take the sd card out and put it back in then it works?

I havent downloaded any third party apps its no virus. The phone is just bad.
Weird thing is that it all started 1 month after i downloaded the update 1.45.666.5 My phone is a demon?

    Questions:

    1. Who doesn't download 3rd party apps? The phone comes with 3rd party apps...
    2. Have you contacted HTC?
    3. Have you updated up to the latest update?

Have you contacted HTC regarding the freezing issues?

I have a sensation and i have none of these issues, its not all of the phones which have these issues - Its just a few batches. You can expect these issues with any mass manufactered product even the iPhone...

I bought a Sensation with big expectations and the phone is good except for the sound, that is totally pathethic and I cannot believe HTC can send a phone to the market place with such low class microphone and speaker on the system. Is there any way to rectify this? My old Nokia E51 sound quality is much much than better than the HTC, what a dissapointment!!

I had the Samsung 4g and I have to say it's the worst phone ever. It crashes, reboot by itself, freezes at least once a day. Sometime people ask me why I don't answer their calls. It turns out that while the phone looks like it's on but none of the button works, even the power button. I have to remove the battery to reboot it. It has the latest factory update, and it's not rooted.

Now I have the Sensation and I believe it's the best phone. I also have an iPhone 4 (work phone) but I like the Sensation better.

Do you put the phone upside down? It sounds better and the mic picks up better when you put the phone upside down. Also, putting the phone upside down will automatically enable speaker phone. Nice! I don't think iSiri can do that...

I second it. i was so excited 6 months back when i bought this phone. Now it just keeps restarting itself whenever i am trying to pick a call or when i try to close a popped up box. i never thought i would be so unhappy with the phone.

It seems that you may have gotten a bad one. I don't think an iPhone would be better if you happen to get a bad one. There are plenty of bad posts in macrumors too. From what you said, it seems that it's like the Galaxy 4G I had before this Sensation. I just got this used Sensation for about 2 months and it's working flawlessly.
