Interesting question. I guess it also depends on what you are calling SPAM.
I'm a forum moderator at another windows mobile technology web-site and a lot of the SPAM is from automated accounts not genuine people.
I'd acknowledge this site has a mixture of the same sort (sometimes even the exact same messages) as well as what appears to be an increasing number of just dare I say "stupid"posts.
I'll probably get hung out to dry saying this but after reading some posts here I ask myself ïs this for real?"I mean why do some people have buy such a device if they are not prepared/interested to even read the basic user guides before posting?
Ooops
On a networking hardware forum, we moderators keep the spams we removed in a "vault" and compared to our "collection", the spams here are more inventive. The ones I've seen posted here looked like a question but then there is a link at the end to a suspicious website.

Wish I knew why it's attracting not just spam, but tricky spam that likes to hide in legitimate posts. I thought converting software would initially cut it down but there's been an increase in the last week.
I wanted to run with the software conversion for a bit before applying modifications. I have a couple updates that need to be applied and then I'm looking at additional spam fighting measures.
At least I'm able to delete all the spam users posts and ban them with a couple clicks on vbulletin

Thanks for the update.
I appreciate your ongoing efforts, staying on top of this rubbish is really important.
Sorry, I haven't been on for a few. My laptop's Drive took a long walk off a short pier.

I had the built in spam feature activated but it wasn't doing anything with the service that was being used for scanning! I switched it to a different service (akismet) and seems to be great, it's been catching most if not all so far.
