Thread: message notification sound

my phone will only play a few notes of the chosen sound (loudest I could find) and I don't always hear it.
Tried one of the sounds given on the phone and the same happens.
My previous phone kept on playing for a wee while then beeped to let me know I'd missed a message but it died of old age

when my phone is islent mode, and get some sms some time playing sms sound
