Thread: HTC smart problems

I created new acc, because I can't remember old password. My old nick is bambukas.

I have big problems with htc smart. For this problems I written many times for htc help, but they not help me.

First: when Phone all the sounds off. Sometimes I get an SMS and the sound is heard. I did an experiment: I sent a mass SMS from another phone to the HTC smart and sends an SMS with HTC smart. Sometimes the sound received via SMS. Conclusion sms off the sound signal is received and when accompanied by a SMS or something like that.


Second: When using radio, changing stations, etc. after x numbers click headset not work. (phone sounds off, but e.g. mp3 working with headsets.

Third. If people number from favourites are with + (e.g. +3706******) when click send sms, sms NOT SEND! Because + disappear in sms form! Also if number in phone is without + (e.g. 86****) sms send! (settings personalize customize home screen menu people);

Alarm sometimes ringing with no sound.

And when I try delete messages from deleted messages folder, if sms are lots of (~2000 - 5000) SMS not deleting, only showing delete icon and later shows sms. I really tried factory reset. It delete sms but also delete all data on phone, so I cant use factory reset only for delete sms...

For these problems phone send to guarantee service 3 times... Now phone is in service.

I have similar problems with my HTC Smart.

Bugs:
- getting SMS don't make any sound (sms arrived notification does :S )
- sometimes happens that when phone is in vibrate mode then it rings like in normal mode
- sometimes when I got a call and the phone rings I unlock it but there's no sign of incoming call, no answer or deny function, doesn't do anything
- when listening music and phone rings if I unplug headset talk and then plug in headset again the main speaker and the headset plays music same time
- regularly freeze the screen and works slowly

I did factory reset, but still have problems. I tried to find software to upgrade it but I didn't found anything useful.

Can anyone tell how can I update the ROM (1.0.405.109663) and Brew MP (1.0.0.621) on my HTC Smart (F3188) to latest version?

I've been having every problem you've both mentioned, and then some. And now, suddenly, it's screen is scrambled. I've tried the old "power cycle" (ie. switching off, waiting, switching on), even taking the battery out, to no avail. And a hard reset will delete all my data, I believe.

It's a long shot, I know, but I don't suppose anyone has any idea how to (non-destructively) cure the scrambled screen problem?
