Thread: HTC Smart on O2-UK ROM Upgrade

I have an HTC Smart F3188 in the UK with O2 branding. The phone has all of the known and annoying problems! The most annoying is the sent date on emails always set incorrectly due to a bug in the email application. There's no ROM upgrade available for the UK versions but plenty for Europe and the Far East. I wanted to load a generic European ROM in the hope that some of the problems have been fixed but my phone's serial number won't allow me to download the European ROM. Is there an alternative download location or can I have a serial number of a European phone please?

I have question. Please turn on silent mode and try listen radio with headset, try change stations, search new one. All ok? E.g. for me radio not palying

There are 4 volume levels on the HTC Smart. There's 'general' or system volume, there's ringer volume, there's media volume and there's alarm volume. When silent mode is selected, sometimes the phone will also set silent media volume as well as silent ringer volume. It all depends which volume setting was used last. So if you are listening to the radio, then select silent mode, the radio will also be put into silent volume. When this happens, simply adjust the radio volume after selecting silent, it should just increase the radio volume without changing the ringer volume.
