Memory is full. Please delete some messages.
I have an HTC Snap.
I keep getting the error message Memory is full. Please delete some messages whenever I get sent an SMS
I have been through and deleted all texts, emptied the deleted posts.
But whenever I get a SMS I get this message. I thought that perhaps a program was hogging memory, so I've tried turning the phone off then on again.
As soon as I turn the phone on again, the SMS will arrive. If I then try to send an SMS to myself I then get the memory full message when the SMS tries to arrive again.
If I go to Settings/About I see
Available Storage 5.54MB
Total Storage: 97.67MB
Available Memory 62.53MB
Total Memory: 111.60MB
I have a 1GB SD Card in my device too.
Any ideas why this is happening?
I found some tools linked to from this forum (Cleartemp and CleanRAM) but neither of them would work on my device.
This is a new phenomenon. I've had the phone for a year, and apart from it turning itself off every now and then I've not had any issues before.
Thanks a lot for your help
Brett
