How do u send/recivce pics/music from ur HTC tatto a3232 to another phone via bluetooth ?
any one help us?? thanxxx in advance....

I have tried to use blue tooth on my HTC Tattoo phone - unsuccessfully! The guidance seems straight forward - tells you to switch blue tooth on, make phone visible, search for other devices (yep all works well), until you come to pair with the device you want. For some reason this just does not work!!!!!!!!!!! any clues???? :roll:

You have to perform a procedure called 'rooting' on ur device. This effectively unlocks your phone to transfer data over bluetooth (ur tattoo can currently handle A2DP profile only. i.e. stereo bluetooth) there are various ROMs available for download to do this

I can't find anywhere how to root my device. Can anyone please tell me how to because I need to use my bluetooth to receive files.

Ok re this issue with using Blue tooth on the Tattoo - I have been into the vodafone shop...and the advice is that there is an app which you can download which will allow you to blue tooth between phones etc - however at the moment it doesn't work on the Tattoo. Was told to leave it a couple of weeks then try again. The App is called Blue Tooth File Transfer - apparently the current issue is due to Bluetooth bugs........(whatever they are...) :ugeek:

i also have problems with that, in my car i have blue&me (Fiat) and i have to connect my phone via bluetooth with it to use the hands free calling. The Tattoo finds blue&me but when he connects he immediately turns back of again.
I see the name of my phone display on my screen for a second and then it's gone

Unfortunately Android 1.6 only supports a limited number of audio profiles (specifically: Headset, Handsfree, A2DP, and AVRCP). So no file transfer/contact exchange/wireless tethering over Bluetooth.

Yes, this is a real pain. Apparently this issue is resolved in the newer Android releases (2.0+), but as yet there is no guarantee that HTC will upgrade the Tattoo to the newer platform.
Here's hoping.

Bluetooth File Transfer (from the Market) might work if a) the developers get round to releasing a Tattoo-compatible version and b) the known Bluetooth bugs in Android 1.6 don't get in the way.

So far, I have found the Tattoo to be brilliant for everything I have thrown at it, *except* for the limited Bluetooth functionality.

Has anyone managed to bluetooth yet? I brought tatoo 2 weeks ago. Orange suggest this forum is the only way to solve problems. Can't sync with computer either! Any ideas cos Orange won't change phone!!
