Load Ringtone?
Hi guys,
I have RTFM, but can't make the instructions work!... I understand you can use the menu to select the current mp3 as a ringtone, but my mp3's don't show up anywhere, so I can't select them.
I know my files are there, because the File Manager I got from the Market can see them, and play them without any problem. But Music app can't see them - so I can't choose them as a ringtone.
Is there a special way to load MP3's so they work? I just copy and pasted them into new folders on the card with the File Manager over my wifi network. Couldn't see any other way to do it! Have tried putting them in many different folders locations, both new and existing folders
What am I missing?
Thanks in anticipation,
Pcal

Hi Pcal
When I listen to mp3 music via file maneger, I click the "menu", and then I'm able to "set as ringtone".
You should be able to do the same. I use Astro File Manager

Connect your phone to USB then choose Disk drive after thet on pc go to My computer open removable disk drive, this is phone SDCard, and copy yours mp3 files to folder Music. After that go to your phone All programs, arrow in bottom left corner on home screen, and find app called Music. You should now see all your mp3 files, play file thet you want for ringtone press menu and select set as ringtone.
