    Default xv6800 or xv6900

my contract is about to end and i want a pda phone. im am leaning toward the xv6800 because it overs a lot more stuff then the xv6900 specs show. except the 64 mb of ram and the touchflo. now i dont need the touch flow but i love the htc home with the interface. favorate apps, weather, etc. i was wondering if i could put the home page on the xv6800. if i do do i need to also add touch flo or is that seperate. and which is a better pda phone.

You can get both the htc home plugin and touchflo for the mogul

The big deciding factor between the 2 should be the input methods (hard keyboard vs software), and possibly the size. You should head over to a verizon store and get them to let you play with both and make a decision

I really like the 6900 better but it does depend on how well you can get used to not having the physical keyboard.

If you need to have the infrared ability for a Realtor key or controlling other devices then you would want to go with the 6800.

The size thing is the deal breaker for me. Don't think size matter? Buy both and wear one on each hip for your 30 day trial. You will bag the 6800 on everything and its also fun to try and rap a seatbelt around it.

Have the sales guy let you old both of them at the same time so you can get a feel for the phones.

    Help that helps

If you are an email "tree'ager" then the 6900 is the way to go!

if you are a powerhouse and need that tactile keyboard 6800.

TouchFlo on the 6800 even built into rom versions aren't the best and are delayed. It will slow down your 6800.

The Home Screen plugin on the 6800 will not slow down the unit's operation.

Another important thing to consider is the wifi capability. I use my wifi all the time even with an unlimited data plan. Sometimes its just faster. Like with slingbox. Also the Keyboard is a big factor for me. But I love the 128mb ram for the touch, ver jealous. However, I would say the xv6800 is a better buy and its closer to receiving the upgrades from verizon for things like GPS.

The HTC Mogul is way better than the touch. Besides the Mogul is a touchscreen anyway.

If you are looking for a good combination of the two you may want to look at the Blackberry Curve, my boyfriend has it and I love it! Blackberries are laid out a lot better than Windows Mobile. I don't like Windows Mobile because if I close Internet Explorer it doesn't actually close, I have to click on start and go into running programs and stop it there as well or my battery will drain from running the internet. Windows Mobile will lag on occasion, like when I pull up my text messages and click reply I will wait 2-3 seconds and think I didn't hit it right and hit it again and end up sending a blank text because I did press it but it was slow to respond and after you hit reply then reply becomes send. Also when someone sends me a picture it doesn't allow me to save it to my phone.
