Thread: Wi-fi data??

I have set up the Wi-Fi on my phone and wanted to know does it use my Orange Internet or the Routers Internet that im useing the Wi-fi on?

Just trying to work out if its costing me for the Data or is it coming from the Router(Talk Talk Internet)

WiFi is different from data connection offered by your mobile phone operator. Wifi connects to wireless access points (e.g., wireless routers) so however your access point is connected to the Internet is how you get online.

You can tell if youe device is using a data connection and not wifi - there is an extra icon to the signal strength icon at the top.




If you are on wifi only, there is a different icon (kinda like an antenna)

I have just turned on my Wi-Fi on my mobile and it connected to the Router but when i click on the connectivity bit its showing that im connected to orange 3G and also my Router!!!!

Any Advice?
