    Default Generic Serial :( please help

    hi friends ,i am a new htc touch 3 g user i have big problem ,i want to connect my pda with usb cable and when i am connect pda windows is doesnt know devices,
    its only write "generic serial " device , please help what can i do this situation.
    iam tried different pc and os like vista,W?N7 and a Win xp but never do it, i am sory my english not very good

    i choosed the on pda "Active SYNC" and change some of settings but it isnt

    Do you get a prompt when plugged into the USB to choose ActiveSync or Removable Disk?

    Hi everyone
    I have a HTC S710 and i have a problem when i connect my phone to laptop via usb cable then generic serial driver is missing please help me to find out that driver. I tried active sync but active sync not show my phone.
