Default Why you don't want to buy this phone!

Continued saga from Dead, Finished, Kaput.

To begin, I'd say overall I was happy with my HTC Touch 3g, Of course there were a ton of programs preloaded that I never used or even looked at. The GPS feature was great, when it worked, I had problems connecting to the satelites. When you reset the phone the GPS worked. Used the phone in several countries, Asia and North America with no problems. No weird issues like dialing up the internet without your knowledge, my Samsung Omina Lite likes to do that.

So why not to buy this phone, it's crap!!! The main board is faulty! No one really knows why but for no reason something on the board shorts out and the phone dies. Tech's are guessing that maybe the battery reaches a point in its life and a short or power spike causes the board to short. But this is just a thought no real evidence. Repairs run in excess of $200 US and the new board is prone to the same problem. Average life, go figure, is 18 to 24 months. I took my phone to 2 HTC dealers and 3 independents all said the same thing. Oh HTC Touch, your board is shot!!! But I will test to make sure. While you wait, check out the new phones on display. Hint Hint.

So amortize the purchase price by 18 months and don't buy lots of accesories as they will be junk soon. On that note, I have several pens, screen protectors and a new unopened silicon case to give away. Any takers??
