Thread: NOOB Question - can I upgrade to the latest windows mobile version?

I have a two year old Verizon XV6900 with Windows Mobile 6.0 which came preloaded on the device.

Two quesions.

1. Can I easily update to the newest windows mobile OS or is that a pain in the rear to do?
2. If I can do it easily, is it worth it?

It depends on how tech savy you are as to whether the upgrade is an option you want to try.

In my opinion the best advice I can offer is to head over to this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php and spend some time reading about upgrading an unlocking.

XDA Developers has a lot more information on the topics than you will find here.

You can then explore the XDA Developers section devoted to your particular device and learn all about the ROM variations available to you (Updating the ROM is how you cahnge the OS)
