Did you have HardSPL applied to the device when did the task 2a? If so then you have successfully bricked it! Once HardSPL is applied Task 2a wipes the entire system clean. There are many people that have bricked their devices by playing with MTTY. There are some possible solutions that I am looking into, but no promises. some people have succesfully unbricked devices, but I am still looking for the solution for the polaris. I will let you know when I find out more.

Yes I did. thanx for replying...
I will look forward to hear anything 'bout this, so please when you find something
thanx again..![]()
I have spent the past few days researching as much as I can. The threads that I have read so far, say that this is completely unrecoverable. If you had wiped just the OS it would be an easy recovery; but, HardSPL + task 2a caused the system to wipe out all the partitions on the device. The only way to recover such a brick is to reflash the everything. This is similar to having a Desktop/Laptop with a corrupt bios chip {to fix you will need new Bios chips}. Since the Bios is hard mounted to the mainboard, it is not a simple fix to replace/repair them. Don't throw it in the trash just yet though! I am still reading thru info to see what I can find. There are still a few hundred pages of info that I need to read. Did you have Security Unlock applied to the Polaris? Do you happen to know the SPL version, Radio, & SBL info before it was bricked? I can reply much faster if you PM or Email me, as I don't get onto these forums everyday.

I'm in the same situation, wipped off the bootloader.
Is there any hope ?
I have been reading up on this problem, but so far I have not found a definate solution. I have found a couple slim possibilities but, since I don't have a Polaris, I can't test them. I have talked with a couple people that have unbricked older devices with similar problems, but the devices had different hardware & software, & their solution will not work on the Polaris. The hardest part is getting it recognized as a flashable device by the computer. I have yet to find the software needed that will let the system recognize it properly. HTC doesn't normally let this type of software out, because this means that we would have Unlimited hackability. I don't guess you live in Pennsylvania; Lancaster / Reading / Philly area?! If you did, I would tell you to bring me the device so I could try some possible tricks. If either of you would want to sell me your bricked Polaris', I could run a lot more scenarios with the device in hand. Once I find the proper solution, I can then post the results. I could not offer much, as I am an amputee on limited budget. If you wanted, I could even sell it back to you after I repaired it {That's to say IF}. Of course, I would add a small amount for the time & energy it takes to find the solution {I work very cheap :ugeek: }.

hello!
Any development on the matter. because I have a dead PDA that does not boot. There 140mA power consumption by pushing the on-off button.
The picture shows like What did I drive it across PC. Not find drivers for this event.
thank you!
Please...any news how to recover after Task 2a???
Thank's.
I do not have the links stored in my system anymore. Go to Forum.xda-developers.com & search for "FrankenKaiser". The steps there should be a starting point for you. Other then that; I really couldn't tell you. I do not use MTTY commands because it is too easy to destroy the device.
