Thread: Unable to sync

Hey guys,
i'm kinda new to smartphones,so..kinda stuck now and would be great if anyone can help..

1) i have installed the active sync thingy, and as soon as i connect my touch cruise, the windows active sync just keeps trying and end up displaying a message "ActiveSync cannot connect to the Windows Mobile powered device. To troubleshoot the problem,click OK."

after clicking ok, a "Troubleshooter for ActiveSync" came up and i ran the diagnostic.

2)it asked me to refer to a link"http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=65257" and i have checked those, it's not helping either..

Can anyone help me please?

I am also new in the world of HTC Polaris. I experience exactly the same problem. It makes me mad, because the thing is neither active nor syncing. I restart the PC time and again and by good luck it actually syncs actively. I find this absolutely lousy software by Microsoft. And there seems to be no alternative.
My Palm used to sync always without any problem ever.
