    Default accessing 3g

I have an unlocked touch cruise with t-mobile in the us, but don’t understand how, or if I can, use the 3g function for internet data access. My questions are as follows:
    1. How do I find out if my phone is the European version or the US version (each has differing specs on accessing the 3g network).
    2. If it is the US version, will I be able to access the 3g network on t-mobile or AT&T in the US?
    3. If it is the European version, will I be able to access the 3g network.
    4. How do I know whether my phone is accessing 3g or not?
    5. Is there a software fix to allow me to use either the European version or us version to access 3G.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

The Cruise does not use the frequencies T-Mobile uses for 3G...

However you will access the EDGE network...

    T-Mobile uses 1700/2100 for 3G...

    Cruse is 850/1900/2100 for 3G

T-Mobile pretty much just announced their 3G network...

I had my Polaris for 4 months and it was a GREAT PHONE!

    what about at&t?

also, I understand if I have the european version it will only work at frequency 2100. How do I find out which version I have and whether I can access other us frequences?

I think there is only one version of the Cruise...

if AT&T suports 850/1900mHz then it should work...

but im not sure it does...

I found a post online somewhere saying that AT&T uses 850/1900 so your in luck...

you should see a 3G pop up in the top of the phone when you have 3G coverage..

you can go to phone settings and turn on only 3G or Wxxxx what ever its called and see if you pick up a signal...
