Re: First impression
Yes I use the quickgps and keep it updated, but still when I switch on the Sav Nav it take me were \Ive been in the past and does not update my current possition, I have to call the software company, as it just gives me the message waiting for gps, but never finds it.
Yes I to dont like apple and what they hold you to, and have binned my apple mac and accessories.
Blackberry is easy to use but has frustrating limitations.
But I get most trouble from the HTC or Windows.
Last month the phone stopped sending text, took back to Carphone Warehouse who did a hard reset couple days later would not send, so took it back and they sent it away to HTC for repair, I lost that phone for 4 weeks while it was being repaired. Been back a couple of weeks and still wont send text.
Today went back to Carphone Warehouse, guy tried to send from my phone would not work, just get error message could not send.
The messages were created from my outlook contacts which I sync from PC.
He then manually entered a number leaving out the country code and brackets that outlook adds and it worked. His conclusion was that outlook is not compatable with HTC or Windows mobile. What a load of crap. So Im still none the wiser. Have emailed HTC to see what they say.
Why would I be able to call from my contacts but not text.Regards
Gary

Re: First impression
I never have the problem that outlook adds brackets. Maybe thats indeed the deal. It should just work, though i am not sure how WM6.5 handles that.
There is a simple option to get rid of it. Go to start -> control panel > administrative tools -> services and turn off the telephone service. Put it on manual as well. Now outlook will not put any more brackets, spaces and other nonsense around your numbers.OMGWTFBBQ!
