Phone loses contact with memory card
Bought this:
http://www.netonnet.no/index.asp?iid=153318
and have used it for a couple of weeks without problems. Sudddenly the phone doesn't register it any more - it's there when I start the phone in the file explorer (both on phone and pc) for a short time and then it disappears. Have tried soft reset.
Anyone experienced something similar? I don't think the card is the problem as it hasen't been removed or touched but I have no access to other phones that support these cards so I can't test it properly..

Re: Phone loses contact with memory card
I had a similar problem with a 16Gb SanDisk card. After copying many music tracks and then deleting them, the card failed as you stated. I tried the card in a PC USB port with SanDisk MicroSD - USB adaptor and again was not able to read any information. I sent it back and they confirmed that it was faulty and gave me a refund. I have since purchased another 16Gb card with no problems so far. HTC have stated that the HTC D2 has not been tested with this size card. I'll let you know if mine fails.

Re: Phone loses contact with memory card
Thanks for your reply,at least it's reassuring to know others have the same problem.
What do you mean by size card? I reckon you don't mean either physical size or memory size since official specs say it is compatible with 16gb micro sd hc..? I've heard that some memory cards are thinner than others and that this can lead to loss of contact-is that what you are referring to? What card did you buy?HTC have stated that the HTC D2 has not been tested with this size card

Re: Phone loses contact with memory card
BrianW, would of been referring to the memory size of 16GB.
Most brands of phones today only support upto 16GB MicroSD cards. That being said, 32GB cards should work in most, but it hasn't been officially tested etc.
I cant help you sorry, i only have an 8GB SanDisk in mine. Haven't had a single problem with it though.

Re: Phone loses contact with memory card
Diamond 2 officially supports micro sdhc 2.0 cards - mine is a micro sdhc 2.0 card. Can't see how anyone can claim it isn't compatible.
