Thread: Display problems with HTC Diamond 2

Hi,

there is a problem with my device, which is in inaccurate reading of the display position. When I touch it somewhere, the device reads a different position what makes it completely unusable.

I tried a hard reset, uninstall all the apps, reset factory settings, recalibrated many times and nothing helped. The problem (looks like) first occured when I removed it unsafely from the PC, but now it is permanent.

I wonder if e.g. anything like rewriting the internal rom by factory default would help, but I do not now where to get it and how to make it. Anyway, I am not sure it this could really help.

Does anyone experience such a problem? And do you, guys, have any idea how to repair it? Thanks very much,

To correct screen alignment you need to do the following:

1. Go to the Settings screen
2. Click on All Settings. (Bottom left hand corner of the screen)
3. Click on the Screen icon. (You need to scroll down the page to see it)
4. Click on the Align Screen button. (Found under the alignment tab)
5. Use the stylus to carefully select the centre of the crosses.

I'm having the same problem. Cant access the bottom left part of the screen, hence cant get to the any bottom left menu options (or any display touch options i.e. keyboard dialer etc.) Device not even one month old, rather sad.

download a ROM from the HTC website and do an update or reflash your ROM..

Tried you advice with much anticipation, but no luck (no change). Basically, on the home screen, bottom slider, when I touch(click) on home icon, it opens the third icon/application - messages. Likewise, if I were to touch/click on the bottom left menu "Phone", it opens "Camera". Basically, touch functionality of about 1 square inch of the bottom left of the phone is out of calibration.

Any help, much appreciated - tkx.

is there any way you can have that replace or something?..

bought it in Thailand but I'm based in Sri Lanka where there is not much support here (leave alone device not being available as yet). Been using htc for number of years... bit of a helpless situation. Thanks.
