I think it is just the device using up and wearing down the battery. My battery was killer when I first got the phone, now after 3 weeks, it definately needs to be charged within 48 hours.

I only have mine for 2 weaks and on stand by it last 2 full days.
What are the programs you are using? Does it happens on stand by mode?
If you are using skype, fring, msn, gps, youtube and other softwares it is normal I guess.
At least that's what it is been happening with my device.

Hi, I think we all have similar issues with the TD2.

I bought a couple of desktop USB chargers, a cheap generic one from EBAY for work (around £10), and a nice shiny HTC one for home from http://www.clove.co.uk (about £35) I know it's a bit more expense, but if you place them where you are most likely to be (if not on the move) and get into the habbit of sticking it in the dock, it does make life a bit easier.

Also the cheap one I got from EBAY, has a spare battery charger at the back (a second battery, more expense etc)

The only other way is to buy a battery with a lot more power (unfortunately these come with a new back panel as the enlarged battery makes the whole phone a lot thicker)

    Hope this helps.

    Hi All,
I have got to say I am rather dissapointed in my battery life. As other have found it only lasts just over a day before having to recharge and that is on standby without making any calls or internet access  I dont know how long it would last if I actually made a lot of calls. There was a 1350mAh battery on Amazon which was the same size as the original but it has since been removed. I am therefore considering one of the 2200mAh bateries available on eBay but before I purchase was interested in comments from other users who may have bought one.
    1) They look massive with the modified back case. How much thicker are they in reality?
    2) Do you know if they will still fit in the Brodit carkit/holders?
    3) Is there a vertical pouch available which will fit the phone with this larger battery installed?

    Many thanks
    Fozzie

Hey guys, just got mine going, going to do a proper charge and discharge, I've been hearing a two day battery life is average for the diamond2 (few calls, bit of browsing etc).

Thats what I've gotten out of mine so far.
What do you mean?? Too much anime?!??

Suddenly I down to about 4hours of battery time on a very limited use...I can't figure out what is causing this. I've just even bought a new battery because of this, but it is just not doing it. It all started after installing the latest ROM update. Maybe something to do with that?
