Thread: how to permanently delete all my old sms messages

i currently have 5 sms messages in my inbox and about 50 in my deleted items folder, i want to clear them all, through my inbox, i have the option of menu-> select messages-> select all, and then i can delete the 5 i have, but when i want to delete from my deleted items folder, i dont have the "select messages" option under menu, is there no way other than deleting every sms seperately??

also how long will windows mobile 6.5 keep these deleted messages in the deleted folder?

First off: Only post once, in one category. Posting multiple times will not get an answer any faster; It only creates clutter.

To empty the deleted SMS:
1) Open SMS prog.
2) Tap "Menu" > "Deleted Items"
3) Tap "Menu" > "Clear All"
4) Accept & done

Not sure if the Diam2 is setup the same; but on my HD2 with WM6.5, there is an option to delete the messages immediately instead of ussing a "Deleted" folder. Check the SMS prog's Cpl to see if you have this option as well.
