Thread: Hotfix for resolving new SMS notifications not sounding while in standby mode for HTC

when my device is in standby, and i receive an sms, i get no notification other than a flashing green light which is not very effective when the phone is in my pocket or not in front of me.
on the htc website there is a download but it is only for rom versions 1.4 and lower, i am running 2.17.720.2, how can i fix the problem

(htc diamond 2, windows mobile 6.5)
