Default HTC Touch Dual - Touch Screen Not Working

Hi my HTC Touch Dual - touch screen is no longer working. I've had it for about 6 months and it has been working fine until now. I have tried a soft reset, and it didn't work. So I tried a hard reset, and now I am stuck at the start up screen where it requires you to touch the screen to proceed. I don't know what to do. Please help.

i have had the same problem and this keeps reoccuring every now and again.. typical my waranty has also just run out..

when i had the same problem, i.e would not move from the screen to align..

my solution was to press the screen just a bit firmer, but obviously not too hard as to break the screen.. and even at times to knock the screen firmly with my knuckle.. although this might not be the best way .. it worked for me

    Hi,

I have a T-Mobile MDA. I think its more of a memory problem, because I cannot reset the phone, either soft or hard. and its really slow to respond. Like yours I have a phone lock on, and i'm unable to both enter the PIN and select the unlock button.

    Any ideas?

Hi, My T-Mobile Touch Plus has now been returned. They replaced the screen, and for good measure upgraded the OS.

Luckily 1 month before my contract ends.

    Ta..

Same problem here. All i need is a bit of advise on how to get around re setting windows without touching the screen. I can use the keypad for programs and settings but i would have to touch the screen to execute the re setting of windows, very tricky indeed. phone is a touch dual. Thanks in advance.

Hi, If you have problems with your screen, you will need to get that sorted. My mobile network repaired my mobile under the terms of my contract. The manufacturers warranty had passed, however, as I was still in my contract period T-Mobile repaired the phone, by replacing the whole front screen. I believe it comes in one unit.

The problem with these types of phone, is you cannot really get around not using the touch screen. So it would either need to be repaired or replaced.

Would you be able to get yours repaired with your mobile operator?

No, i would have to pay for my own repair, i would like to wait a bit so maybe i can find a secret button to restart the screen, that i think might refresh the screen and touch flow might work again. just guessing

    I hear you.

Have a look at this, not too sure how much help this would be, it may be in your interest to trawl through the web for a solution such as this one.
