Re: change language from Italian to English
The only way to change your devices language is to flash it with an English ROM. You can download an official ROM here: http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownload. ... &dl_id=116. You can also try a custom ROM but the device needs HardSPL flashed before you can flash a custom ROM. You can find custom ROMs & HardSPL @ Forum.XDA-Developers.com, under the Nike section.

I tried to download the official ROM but when I entered my Serial Number I got this message-
Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device. My unit is an original HTC Touch Dual (Italian Language) and I entered the serial number correctly. Is it not really suitable to use for an upgrade?
As much as possible I would like to use the original because I don't want to try flashing using custom ROM.
Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

Most HTC ROMs will only work on devices that were issued in the country that you are trying to download the ROM from. If your device is carrier branded, then it's possible that you can download a ROM from that carrier's website as well. I'm sorry; the link that I provided was for HTC's WorldWide site. Your serial # will probably only work on the HTC Italia site: http://www.htc.com/it/supportdownloa...act=sd&cat=all. I looked at the Italia site & there are no ROMs available; only HotFixes.
There is a way to fool the system & get a ROM. If you play with the serial # a bit, you can get access to the ROM downloads. For Example: If your serial is HT840FU12345 then you can change the 840 to another # near it & it may work {ie. HT838F..., HT842F..., HT839F..., etc}. You may have to try several times before finding an acceptable serial that will allow you to download an English ROM. I have done this trick with my Diamond so I know it works.
Just because you can download the ROM does not mean that you'll be able to flash it to your device though. Most devices have a CID lock activated & will only accept ROMs with a matching CID. Again; there is a way to fool the system to allow you to flash a different CID ROM to your device. Go to http://www.htcforums.com/threads/386...anguage-change. & read my tutorial at the end of the forum. It explains how to fix a ROM to make it work with a different CID. The instructions were written for the TP2, but will work with the Dual as well. Just change the name "TP2"/"Touch Pro 2" to "Touch Dual" & the model ID from "Rhodium" to "Nike". Again; I have used these methods on my own devices & know that they work. As long as you follow the instructions properly; you'll have no problems.
Hope this helps. Other then that; the only thing that I can suggest is a custom ROM.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.
