Thread: ORANGE HTC TOUCH DUAL HARD LOCKED!!

Hi there,

I received a ORANGE HTC TOUCH DUAL phone as a gift and tried unlocking the phone with an unlock code that I purchased from http://www.mobile2mobile.net which happen to be incorrect. However I have tried their unlock code 5 times already and now the phone is unfortunately "hard locked" with the message " You have tried 5 times, please wait for time out..." > Please do advise me as to how I can go around this and what can I do to get it unlocked. Is there anyway to reinstall the OS or firmware to get rid of the message? Any help is really appreciated.

You can try a hard reset (hold the send and end keys and then push the reset button on the bottom with the stylus) that will erase everything and put the phone back to how it came

Hi SevSev, Thanks for your input, I did try that , however it still does go back to the original sim lock screen when I put in another sim from a different network. Hope you can help me out on the problem.

u might want to take a look on xda-developers, maybe they know how to fix this...
