Thread: Google Maps for Pocket PC

Have anyone tried to use google maps for pocket PC?
I am planning t install it this afternoon (afterwork!), but just wanted some feed back about it.
Apparently you don't need GPS and it gives your (approximate!) location through GSM (through 3 or more antennas I guess).
Could be pretty interesting for some...well, I live in Mauritius and Google is not bothering making the maps better for us ...but still.

To install it, just go to that link http://www.google.com/gmm/index.html from your mobile.

OK, I installed it last night, and I must admit that its pretty accurate. I'm loving it!

I have also installed it on my p3450.
i am in karnataka. But from some places it shows my location to be in andhra pradesh.
I am using BSNL sim.

yo lo instale en una Touch XL y anda bien, el error es de unas 2 cuadras pero para ubicarte sirve. vivo en argentina. lo que se es que usa coneccion a internet para bajar la posicion de las antenas.

It happens to me also to find myself in the UK on google maps, but then, by the end of the day, I get back to my nomal position (in mauritius). Not sure wy is that happening, might be relayed from another satelite, or something like that.
