Thread: No SMS Sound

I've tried everything I know but I can't get it to work.
When I receive a sms there is no sound playing, I tried several audio files and the standard sounds that are in the htc, but still no sound.

What could be the problem, or is this a bug?

I'm not sure what could be causing that. You are able to see the image just fine its just not making any noise. Animations should work fine. Is there any way you can post the image? I'll check and see if it will play on my phone.

Its not two different files by any chance is it? Like one photo and one sound file.

This is basic but did you try

Start> settings> Sounds & Notifications> Notification Tab> Event Drop Down> Messaging: New Test/Message.

Make sure the play sound box is checked and you have a sound file selected.

That should do it as long as the phone is making sound.

Let me know if it works.

check this..

1. Press the Volume up button on the upper left side of your handset.
2. Screen for Volume will show up. Please make sure "System" and "Ring" is set to maximum volume.
NOTE: Just be quick before the screen disappears.

if problem persists, i think you need to do hard reset or send it for repair

I find a solution!
I check one sms received as unread.
The i have shout down the phone, then i restart it.

It's incredible, but it works!
