Thread: HTC Touch - Problems with SKYPE Mobile 2.2.037

WARNING - There appears to be an issue with the latest version of Skype Mobile and the HTC Touch. After installation the sound only comes out of the rear speaker resulting in you not being able to use Skype. This only appears to be a problem with the latest version as I know someone else who did not have any problems until they upgraded - in view of this DO NOT upgrade unless you have made a backup of the earlier version.

I have spoken to HTC Tech Support who say they have heard of this problem but are not aware of any fix at present. They say it is a Skype software issue and as you can expect Skype say it is a hardware issue for HTC. My opinion is that it looks like a Skype issue if the earlier version works and that HTC should take it up with them.

Does anyone have a copy of an earlier version of Skype Mobile that is working on their HTC Touch that I could download :?:

I am a sprint mogul user . I had a similar problem with skype latest version. There is a working version of skype available at http://www.electronic-gadgets-4u.com via following link. I have downloaded it and using it with 100% success. It works with wired connection or through the speaker. Does not work with bluetooth though. http://www.electronic-gadgets-4u.com...ul_new_rom.htm
