Default HTC touch not turning on

    Hi,

I am not sure whether my touch is elf or vogue?

My touch switched off suddenly after charging for a while and now its not turning on at all. Sometimes If I press the switch on button vigourously it shows the "smart mobility" screen and then switches off by itself again. Is it a problem with the battery?

    How do I find out?

    thanks in advance.

first of all charge the battery problem seems with battery, u can charge ur battery even using external chagers ,after charging the battery if problem exist hard reset(take out the battery insert it press two white and green button n with stylus press reset button on the buttom near the charging socket ,release the stylus but keep pressing other two buttons until some message pops up in the black screen then press center button wait for the screen instruction, follow the instruction) after this u will get ur problem solved,if not u need to update rom.

    HTC Elf - GSM

    HTC Vogue - CDMA

See if its just the battery (loose) or maybe the battery itself.

Also try the hard reset option.
