I have a HTC P3400i and using this for the past 2 years very satisfactorily.
Now I am having a strange problem for the past 1 week or so.
I joined a new company and a new office. This is issue is popping up in the new office premises.
When ever I am in the office premises, particularly on my desk, my phone is not reachable. I mean if someone tries to call me, they get the message that "The customer is not reachable" or "Customer is Out of coverage area". Many of my friends have been complaining that I was not reachable.
I thought this issue is from the Service provider. But I am able to make the out going calls. The signal bar on the Phone shows full signal but some how I am not reachable to others calls. I think there is no issue from the Service provider side.
To findout whether I have an issue with the Phone or Service provider, today I brought another Nokia Basic phone with an active SIM card from the same service provider. I followed the steps as under.
1. Tried calling my number from the Nokia phone but I get the same message "User is not reachable" even though the phone is not buzy and showing full signal.
2. I called Nokia phone from my HTC phone and the call is going through without any issues.
3. Now I interchanged the SIM cards and tested.
4. Now my SIM card in Nokia phone(which was earlier in HTC phone) is able to receive all the calls. I told one of my friend to call from a different location. He was able to call me.
5. When tried calling the other SIM card put in HTC phone, getting the same error "User is not reachable".
With this I am concluding that there is some issue with the HTC Phone itself.
Can any one help me in resolving this question?? Or some settings need to be changed to address this??
Or I need to take the phone to the Service center to get this addressed??
Please help.
With regards,
Srinath
