Use with '3' provider
I am unable to use my touch with '3' in the UK.
Tells me the sim card is missing when in the phone. Is there anyway possible for me to use as I love my touch. Have emailed HTC twice now with no reply!!!

Re: Use with '3' provider
I'm not sure what you mean by "using Touch with the 3 provider in the UK", but where did you originally buy your Touch? Is it an unlocked phone?
If you didn't originally buy it from a provider in the UK, you'd have to unlock it first to be able to use it.

Hi,
is 3 in UK using GSM or UMTS network?
HTC Touch is not 3G compatible phone which means do not support UMTS network, if 3 in UK use UMTS network, your Touch won't recognize the sim card for sure

Assuming your Touch is not locked to a provider, try a different SIM. My Touch unit is very sensitive to the quality of the SIM card.
"3" is a brand under Hutchinson, who also owns Orange I believe. Not sure about UK, but elsewhere "3" provides both GSM and 3G networks to phones. Please do not send your questions or problems to me using Private Messages function. Post them in the appropriate board in the forum so everyone can read. If you "pm" me with an issue you are experiencing, I'll delete without reply.
