Thread: google map on touch hd

i installed google map into my phone and it seems that the map can only load with a connection like GPRS or wifi. how come it loads the map ony with GPRS or wifi ? how do i make it load the whole map and the next time if i use the google map again, i won't have to load the map anymore ?? pls help thanks a million !!

It has to have a connection for the map info. It would need a lot of storage space to have the map pictures of normal and satellite views for everywhere in the world and on every zoom setting, so no you have to have a wifi or gprs connection. where ever you are just search for wifi connections, there is usually someone witha unsecured one or take a look at "the cloud" website it has wifi all over the uk, you just pay a small amount each month.

okay . is there any GPS software that i can install in the phone with the map completely loaded just for a country ? because i am in singapore and i won't need the whole world map. it would be expensive to keep using GPRS when i'm on the go with the phone.

Maybe take a look at a sat nav program.
