Problem with the HTC Music Player on my HTC HD2
Got my HD2 this week and its been amazing. Installed some music no problem, then added some more today and now every time I go to the HTC music player it goes to the "loading HTC Sense" screen and them back to the home screen.
I'm thinking the player might need to be reset somehow but am reluctant to reboot the phone as i have spent ages getting my everyting all set up this week.

do try rebooting your device - sometimes problems will go away after a reboot
if you use the reset button to reboot the phone (aka soft reset, similar to rebooting your Windows PC), you won't lose anything you've set up, configured or installed. power down your device by pressing the power button for a few seconds and restart it also has the same effect.
if you restore the phone to factory defaults (aka hard reset, similarly to reinstalling Windows from scratch), you lose all data and programs - it'll be just like the day you bought it.Please do not send your questions or problems to me using Private Messages function. Post them in the appropriate board in the forum so everyone can read. If you "pm" me with an issue you are experiencing, I'll delete without reply.

Re: Problem with the HTC Music Player on my HTC HD2
Thx, I tried the soft reboot but no joy so did the reboot to factory settings after backing up. Happy to say it seemed to sort the problem out and everything is working fine. Didn't take long to restore all my settings although the scroll bar is telling me that I have one unread email which i cant seem to find.

Just got this reply from HTC direct! Not good!!
Dear valued HTC customer,
Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Center.
I am sorry to say that if the music is showing on your SD card but is not being displayed in the HTC Sense music player then the only option is to perform a hard reset on your device. The fact that the music tab is crashing when attempting to open suggests that the HTC Sense software has become corrupted some how. Performing a hard reset will reinstall HTC Sense on your device which should resolve your issue. Please be warned that performing a hard reset on your device will erase all data stored on the phone memory on your device so please back up all important data first. To perform a hard reset on your device please do the following:
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then press the END/POWER button shortly and release it. You will then see a message on the screen.
2. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
3. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
Best Regards,
Jonathan S
