Default Touch HD will not boot

    Hi all

I have a major problem with my touch HD
Last night the phone stalled so I took out the battery and didn't restart it.
Today the phone will not start anymore.
I have been charging all day untill the green light comes on but it still does nothing when I press the on/off button. I tried resetting it with the red button and a hard reset but that doesn't do anything.

    does anybody has an idea?

    Thank you very much
    Frederik

When you tried the hard reset was the AC power connected or just the battery?

Know when I tried my first hard reset I found it tricky to get both volume controls and the on/off at the same time.

Not doubting you but just in case the description is here. http://www.hardreset.eu/htc_touch_hd..._reset_en.html

Last thing I can think of is; are you able to take it to a store and try another battery? A slim chance but perhaps worth a try.

    Good Luck
My current device is a HTC Touch HD

For starters, you need to explain a lil' better please; What is it doing {Not just what it isn't}? When you press the power button, what happens? Does it not come on at all? Do you see the bootloader screen {Tri-colored}?

If the device does Nothing at all when pressing the power button; then your button may be defective.

If you are seeing the Bootloader screen; then your OS has been corrupted. Most times this can be fixed by simply flashing the devices ROM. You can download the latest ROM images directly @ HTC.com.

Has the device received liquid damage? Check the LDIs {Liquid Damage Indicators}. If the LDIs have turned Red {or even pinkish} then the device has been exposed to liquid damage. Liquid damage can come from many forms. Some things that can cause the LDIs to activate are: living in a HIGH humidity envirornment {Such as near a beach/river}, splash/spill liquid on it, Having the device in the bathroom while you shower, Using the device during or directly after showering or washing hands/dishes, & even having it in your pocket while you sweat profusely on a hot summer day.
