Problem with SIM card and Memory Card after Disassembling
Hi,
The cover of my HTC touch HD was broken and after buying a replacement and following the instrictions, video and guides I replaced succesfully the cover.
I was very careful in the replacement procedure and everything seems in place and working when i turn the phone on.
Nonetheless I get an error about the SIM card and about the memory.
Does anyone know a possible cause for this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Richard

The SIM & Memory Card Readers are attached to the mainboard via an FPC {Forceless push connection}. Disassemble the device & make sure that the connection to the board is good. If you removed the SIM/Card reader connector from the board, then it is most likely that you may not have made a good connection when reassembling. If you didn't remove it, then it is possible that it became loosened during your work. Either way; I would check this connection first. The SIM/Card reader removal process is on page 25 of the Service manual, & the reinstallation procedure is on pgs 30 & 31.
Whilst you have it open; check the flex cable on the reader to see if there is any damage to it. Flex cables are very fragile & tear/break easily; so be careful. If there is a problem, then you will need a new reader circuit.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.
