My phone wont boot or sync, help !?
I just bought an HTC Touch HD, at first it all worked fine, but after 30 minutes of usage it restarted it self, and it kept doing that for 3-4 times, after that it started freezing instead, so i had to restart it manually instead, up to 20-30 times before it would boot up again.
So when i finally got it up running i was going to sync it and try to figure out what ROM i might possible need to fix this problem.
So, the computer woulden't find my phone and it died after a little while again.
For the record, i run windows 7 ultimate 64bit and i used the WMDC to try to sync.
anyways, now im stuck with the phone not working, i Tried severals hard reset with out any succes of booting the device, i tried soft reset aswell.
When i press the on/off button the phone boots up and goes directly to the windows mobile 6.1 green loading screen, and there it stops, no matter how long i let it run there nothing happends.
I checked the battery aswell so it is really connected without any glitches.
And since i can't boot the phone i can't get into the settings and change and try to get it to work with WMDC (so I've read) so i can upgrade the ROM.
So, is there anyone out there that can help me fix the problems?
How to get the phone up working again.
How to get it to find the computer.
And what new ROM could i possible need ?

1) you can download the Rom from: http://www.htc.com/www/SupportDownlo...at=2&dl_id=533
2) place the device into bootloader mode. Pull the battery, reinsert batt., hold Vol Dn & Record button & press the power button. Hold the Vol dn & record buttons until you see the Tri-colored screen.
3) Whilst in BL mode, attach device to pc & wait for all the drivers to load.
4) Run the RUU {ROM upgrade utility} & follow the onscreen instructions.
5) Done, you've just flashed the device with a factory ROM.
If you are still having problems after flashing the ROM, then there is a hardware problem.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.

Is this a second hand HD?
What is the history of applications installed?
Has it been flashed with an different ROM?
I don't understand why there is a need to install a new ROM
I have the HD, and I'm also running Windows 7 ( but 32 bit) and have never needed to install a new ROM.My current device is a HTC Touch HD

Did you attempt any of the steps that I outlined earlier? As long as you have WMDC installed, the pc will recognize the device whilst it is in bootloader. {At least enough to be able to flash it}. If your PC will not recognize it in BL mode then you may have a defective port {Which could be the charge issue as well}.
As concerns it dying today: You get nothing at all from the device? When you plug it in, there are no lights? Try wiggling the charger {gently} & see if it lights up. Can you enter bootloader mode?
Where did you buy it from? Is there a return policy? You can try contacting HTC warranty services & see if it's possibly covered by warranty. Do not tell them you bought it second hand; they do not allow warranty transfers {say it was a gift & you don't have a receipt}. Other then that; you may have just bought a new paperweight.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.

I tried the steps you posted earlier without any succes.
I got no response at all, no lights, if i wiggle the contact just a little, nothing happends, i tried entering boot loader without succes.
I think I'll contact HTC for an warranty issue.
