Thread: Need Help With Update to 6.5

does anyone know how to update from 6.1 to 6.5.

There is no WM 6.5 update for the Touch Pro

there is more than one WM 6.5 rom for the touch pro, I am running this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540444 and it has been working like a charm, the phone is much faster since.
Bear in mind that there is no official update for the phone and that every WM 6.5 rom that can be found would be a home cooked rom where no one will take responsibility if you brick your phone. So read alot before you dicide to take the jump http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008 this is a good place to start, Think very carefull what you want to get out of upgrading and if it is worth the risk for you.

What kind of phone do you have? Are you in the correct thread? If you have a Touch Pro - there is no 6.5 update. Look above.

I am indeed in the correct thread, I have a Touch pro and have been running 6.5 on it for about 2 months now, If you read trough my post carefully I also stated that there is no official update to 6.5 but there is more than 1 rom with 6.5 that works perfectly well on the touch pro.
The last 3 weeks I have been running this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=603041
with verry good results, intensive use and my batery lasts for about 2 days, so I would call that very much an improvement.

I will repeat myself that these rom's are not official and that you need to be carefull in using them as you could brick your phone in the process.

So yes there is no official updat for the touch pro, but there are plenty of unofficial rom's with 6.5 for the touch pro that work very well. (if not better than the original rom)
