    Default Installing Theme Question....

I have found a few themes, not as a .cab file, but in a .theme file. I don't have a problem installing .cab files. But, how do you install a .theme file? Thanks

What is a .theme file? There is no such file for WinMo. All WinMo themes are .tsk files.

There is no installation required for .tsk files. Just copy them to the Windows directory, & you are done. Next time you open your "Today" control panel, the theme you copied to Windows will be available.

Additonal: .theme files are windows desktop themes. When downloading windows mobile themes, make sure their extension is .tsk

I can see the theme and I can chose the theme.....but, I can't find the photo that goes along with the theme. The photo appears in the opening HTC splash screen but not as the wallpaper. Where can I find the corresponding photo to use as the wallpaper?

The simple answer is you cannot. The Windows Mobile theme file (.tsk) has the "wallpaper" embedded into the file.

I have seen this problem happen on older versions of TouchFLO before - some themes are not displayed correctly through TouchFLO. Have you tried disabling TouchFLO to see if the wallpaper is visible?

An alternative: disgard the theme and set your own wallpaper image.

Well - so much for a 'Theme" - LOL! ( doesn't work on my Touch Pro either ). It changes the colors of the top/bottom bars, but that's about it.
