Default Voicemail Casette ICON Does Not Respond

    Hi

It's been a while since I have had a problem with my FUZE. Now I have a problem. When I miss a call, and a message is left for me, the indication properly comes up on my home screen. (A red # appears on the cassette ICON, as it should)

When I press the ICON, there is no response. I do not get taken to my voicemail. I tried the normal stuff, like a soft reboot, but to no avail.

To get to my voicemail, I am forced to go to my spb contacts, and call voicemail.

(Note that I have spb Mobile Shell 3.5 installed) This problem seems to be recent. In the past I was always able to retrieve my voicemail by pressing that ICON.

I too have SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.3 installed. Tried playing with the voicemail and couldn't find any options.

Have you installed any third part widgets to MShell?

What was the latest change you made or app installed?

I'd suggest reinstalling MShell to see if it repairs the voicemail widget.

    Hi ednap,

I have not installed any widgets to MShell, but I have recently installed the Microsoft smartphone back up app, myphone.microsoft.com.
The Microsoft app works great, and did not seem to cause any other issues. I really can't remember if the voicemail issue started before or after installing this app.

Your advice is correct. I will reinstall MShell, but I'm waiting for version 5.0 to become available. I have been reading that it should be out any day now, so I would rather avoid going through the set up twice.

Thanks for getting back to me on this.

Didn't realise version 5 is so close.

Will keep my ears open for that one.

    Cheers
