Hello
Hello,
I currently have a Samsung D500 as my primary mobile device and decided a while ago I would get an iPhone 3G but there seems to be so many niggly things about it that I ahve noticed the HTC Touch Pro which looks much better and right up my street as I like gadgety things and this device seems gadgety enough. I ahve never owned an HTC device before and never used Windows Mobile so I will list a couple of questions below whcih I hope you guys can answer for me:
1) Does the Touch Pro come with a stylus and a place to store it within the phone like the Diamond does?
2) Can I use Skype and TomTom on the Touch Pro?
3) If I don't want to use the Touch Flo 3D interface for any reason can I temporarily disable it and just use the Windows Mobile Home screen?
4) Can I check my e-mail using imap?
5) I found a Flight Simulator game for Pocket PC's Will this run on the Touch Pro and whcih file do I download to use it?
6) If (when the device is out in UK) that the provider I get it from has put their own software on, can I set it back to just the default HTC software with Touch Flo or not?
7) Any idea when this phone will be avilable in the UK?
8) Can I keep my existing mobile number?
I'll add more questions as I think of them.
Regards,
Neil

Re: Hello
1) Does the Touch Pro come with a stylus and a place to store it within the phone like the Diamond does? Yes.
2) Can I use Skype and TomTom on the Touch Pro? You can use anything that's currently available for WinMo6+.
3) If I don't want to use the Touch Flo 3D interface for any reason can I temporarily disable it and just use the Windows Mobile Home screen? Yes, although it's not very appealing without the TouchFLO I must admit.
4) Can I check my e-mail using imap? Yes.
5) I found a Flight Simulator game for Pocket PC's Will this run on the Touch Pro and whcih file do I download to use it? Not sure, don't get ahead of yourself there tiger. Won't be released for a while, better things to worry about than games.
6) If (when the device is out in UK) that the provider I get it from has put their own software on, can I set it back to just the default HTC software with Touch Flo or not? Doubtful, usually they put their own things on there for a reason... May be possible with a reflash.
7) Any idea when this phone will be avilable in the UK? I know just as well as you do.
8) Can I keep my existing mobile number? Last I checked getting a new device doesn't change your number... But just remember, there are no such things as dumb questions, only dumb people.

Re: Hello
Thankyou! I appreciate your time and help.
Hopefully will continue to post here if I get one of these. I keep hearing a 4th August UK release and hope that is true!
Thanks
Regards,
Neil

Re: Hello
Meh, I'm in the US so I have a long time to wait. We don't even have a release date for the Diamond yet. Oh well, I'll just use the junky little clamshell I have for now, it's worth the wait for the Touch Pro.
