Questions, Questions Questions!!!
Hi All
recently purchased the HTC touch pro and what a great bit of kit it is :!:
So getting on really well with the device but have some queries that some of you maybe able to help with :?:
1) The home page on the touch flow 3D displays only one appointment under the calendar, is there a setting some where where you can get it to show say the next 3 or 4 appointments :?:
2) I do get the 3G indicator up in 3G areas however when i connect to data it goes back to a H? I assume this is a lesser service? Would the reason it does not connect on 3G just my service provider or is there some settings on the phone i need to adjust :?:
3) When hooked up to a PC running internet is it possible to get the phone to update, data wise, such as RSS feeds, weather etc through the active sync connection? I'm currently out of the country and don't want to incur expensive roaming charges :?:
4) Haven't really had a chance to figure out the GPS yet but there doesn't seem to be a program for it apart form the update using internet. Does it just work if you put on navigation software :?:
5) any recommendations for navigation software :?:
No doubt i will post more queries over the coming weeks!!
Loving the phone though!!
Cheers
Steven

Re: Questions, Questions Questions!!!
Hi There,
In answer to your questions...
1) I've looked but havn't found one - per one of my earlier blog posts this seems a little random, I've seen as many as three (when you swoosh the flipper clock out of the way) but there are not setting that I can see to control how it selects what to show

2) H = HSDPA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSDPA) this is better than 3G. As far as I can see it shows these when you are connected (that is spending money) careful you don't run up a big bill its very easy to do when you remember that the weather will update on its own and when you goto the screen.

3) It should be, I don't use activesync but I have all these things updating via wifi no problem
4/5) I've not really used the GPS functions yet so can't really comment, I'd imagine that it would only kick in when you connect TomTom or the link, and I'd recommend TomTom, not that I've used it on the Touchpro yet, but I have used it on an older XdaII and that was fine.

Re: Questions, Questions Questions!!!
Lazallen
Thanks for the response.
1) Still searching but no joy on the # of appointmants on the main page.....maybe find it one day!! Although i love the touchflo interface would be cool to be able to tweak it a bit more with some options and preferences!
2) Up to speed on my connections now thanks!
3) Yeah struggling with this one, some things up date but others not, like my RSS feeds sometimes update but i can't say update e-mail (hotmail), outlook etc is fine.
This is when i am connected to my PC it won't seem to use it as a data connection to the internet....it always tries mobile connection......will keep playing......i haven't yet tried WiFi yet but is asume that will work as that will then be a direct link to internet.
I did find an article somewhere stating that there was a feature on active sync that would allow you to link to internet but that feature doesn't seem to be on my version and i believe i have the latest revision.
Well i better get back and do some work...no rest for the wicked!
Cheers

Re: Questions, Questions Questions!!!
1) I hade the same "problem"/issues with my Qtek9100 and it bothered my quite much.
There is a setting in the "Today" under the "Personall"-tab in Settings that says something like "Timeout for today" And then you can choose from 1 to 12 hours. To be completely honest I'm not really sure what that option/setting is for, maybe someone can explain that to me?
