Re: TomTom Navigator 7
I just received my TTN7 today om micro SD. As I expected, it did not run directly out of the box. I got the same message as others: 'device not compatible'. However I can confirm that using the version 7.915 which is available as a free download, things seem to run quite smoothly.
1. Install the 7.915 version
2. Copy the map folder from your purchased TT SD-card onto your SD-card with the 7.915 version of TT
3. Register your map as normal
Voila - everything is up and running.
Hopefully, the version TomTom will ship in the near future is compatible, TP2 is now added to the official TomTom list of supported devices as of today.

Re: TomTom Navigator 7
Where did you download this from?
Are these EU or North America maps?
Thanks,

Re: TomTom Navigator 7
See earlier posts in this thread for a link to the 7.195 cab file.
TomTom currently only have maps of Western Europe for the Navigator 7. I can't really see why they don't cover the US at the moment, hopefully it will be avaiable pretty soon

Re: TomTom Navigator 7
TomTom online - whether you regard their prices as reasonable is up to you to decide...
You can then download the maps. Make sure you select Navigator 6 maps. There are no US maps for Navigator 7 at the moment. With the necessary tweaks with TomTome home, you can still install the version 6 maps, and they will work. However, do it at your own risk, as there is no support from TomTom on this.
