Thread: File size problem

I hope someone else here uses Memory-Map on their TP2, as I do, because I have a frustrating problem that so far I've been unable to solve. Or it might be a more general file support or microSD issue, unrelated to Memory-Map.

I transfer maps (proprietary .QCT files) from my PC to my TP2 so that I can then use them on walks/trips. Up until now I've been using only small files, 20 MB or so. But recently I tried larger maps, 80 MB plus, and Mem-Map reported that it couldn't open them. Oddly, it did rather better when I transferred the files externally to the 16 GB microSD card than direct via AS, the latter not even opening a 34 MB file.

I then dusted off the TP2's predecessor, my ancientiPAQ 2210. I copied a file of 120 MB to it externally and Mem-Map opened it with no fuss.

So can anyone suggest why the TP2 can't handle it please?
