help on making all text read???why is the programing STUPID
With the new Pro Touch 2 and you get more then one text message for the same person you have to go look at the text and go out of the persons text and look at the persons text again to reduce the number of new texts. If you have long texts you might have 3-5 text for one text and it will say you have 5 texts and if you try to clear them you have to do this (as Above) to mark them all read
So example is this
Joe texts you a text that is a very long one and it makes 5 texts... you go look at the text and read it and then go out of Joes text and to the home page.... it does not erase all 5 new texts..... it says you have 4 texts for joe....then you go in and look at the text and back out again and it says you have 3 new texts ... etc..... this happens even thou the origainal text has been read..... you need to go in and out to clear all 5 text
This did not happen in ANY HTC phones I have owned. 6700 6800 Pro touch
Any ideas?

Re: help on making all text read???why is the programing STUPID
This is a glitch in the threading system. When you open the text that Joe sent, you will see your threaded conversation {all previous texts}. All the 'unread' text messages show as Bold Type, whereas the 'read' messages show standard type. Example:
Joe (7:25pm):
What's up?
Me (7:35pm):
Not much. U?
Joe (7:36pm):
Goin to pick up Mary
Joe (7:36pm):
U gonna be around?
Joe (7:37pm):
If so, we'll stop by
Me (7:38pm):
Yeah, c u when u get here
Here you see a mock convo where joe sent 3 messages before I replied. As you can see two of the messages are Unread {Bold} & the last one shows as read {standard}. The last is shown as read because the threading service recognzes only the last message sent. In order to mark the other two as read; just tap the sender's name/time above the unread message {ie. Joe (7:36pm):}. This tells the threading service that you acknowlege the message & marks it as read.
Sorry, but I have not found a way to mark them all as read yet. You have to tap each message tag individually while the thread is open.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.

I know all the info that you have shared with me but if you have to go to the message and out of the message for ever unread message ,,,,,, IT IS STUPID the protouch did not do this and it was windows moblie 6 like the TP2 is..........................
So I think it is in the registry somewhere but I dont know where
I hope you find it
