    Default Disable notification light flash?

I am running WM 6.5 on my pro2. I have unchecked the flash light notification in all of the sound and notification settings and my phone still flashes the notification light for email and other things. Is there a way of turning this off?

I had the same problem with the led for incoming emails. ( it was blinking all the time and the unchek box for the led notification wasn't enabled ). I managed to solve it with the informations from this link :

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/0...indows-mobile/

with that program installed you must try different combinations with the values between 0 - 13 .

    Thanks.

Enable/Disable LED Notification Setting in Sound and Notifications [with my changes for to make it work for Touch Pro2 but it should be good for HD2 as well.]

If you want to get the addresses for HTC HD2 just click the keys up and down in the same area of the registry, and look at what is specified. Or go to the link below for the original forum where I got the info from before I made modifications to their info to make it fit for Touch Pro2]

For Touch Pro2 running on stock ROM wm6.5 for Sprint:

    Messaging: New Email Message
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
    “AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)

    Messaging: New Text Message
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
    “AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)

    Phone: Missed Call
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D660-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
    “AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)

    Phone: Voice Mail
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D661-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}]
    “AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)

    Messaging: New MMS
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{C346 5585-39EF-4c9b-B2A3-5558BF27BFB0}]
    “AvailableOptions”=dword: change to 15 (default is 11)

Soft reset. Go to Sounds and Notifications, and uncheck "Flash light for" for each item that you fixed above. "Flash light for" will no longer be grayed out.

Does anyone know of any registry tweaks to disable the flashing red LED notification for low battery in Touch Pro2? I tried to disable it through the "Low battery warning" flash option in Sounds and Notifications menu of wm6, but that does not work. If you want to know how to enable "Low battery warning" in Sounds and Notifications menu, here are the instructions:

    1. Search for the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D663-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}\.

    2. Create a new String value, name it Default and set its value to Low battery warning.

    3. Now move to Start -> Settings -> Personal tab -> Sounds & Notifications applet -> Notifications tab, choose Low battery warning value from the Select an event drop-down menu and set whatever you want.

A simple registry key can re-enable "message sent notification." I found it quit annoying when I had it in the earlier versions of wm6 and I am glad they disabled it using a registry key. If you need it just do a quick search in google for "disable message sent notification in wm6" and plenty of sites pop up you can use those instructions to re-enable the message sent notifications. Here are two sites I found:

    http://www.scottklarr.com/topic/149/...bile-6-device/

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/0...cation-bubble/

You can also use a program called pockettoolman to disable/enable it. Just search for it and download the latest version form the maker's own site.

    Talking Disable Notification Light

After trying everything in this thread and anywhere else I could search, I finally came up with a solution.
Using a registry editor on the TP2, I used the earlier post to allow the "flash light" option to be configured. When it was un-grayed, I could set it to flash light and set a time, but I wanted it to not flash at all.

This is just for the new Email but using the other keys as noted earlier, you could set this for others.
I went back into the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877 D65A-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}] and set "Duration" to -1
(Going back in, this actually sets it to 4294967295 Dec or FFFFFFFF in Hex.

Go back into the settings and Check Flash Light to "ON" and there will be a blank option in the drop down list. Select the blank option as this is equivalent to the -1 you just set.

My notification light no longer blinks for new Emails.
