Pretty tough to suggest options to resolve this.
Are you sure it is a problem with your phone/device and not the area you are calling from?
Are you able to try your SIM in another handset?Last edited by ednap; 03-16-2010 at 02:49 AM.

hi,
Thanks for the reply. Vodafone have tried giving me a new sim, nothing improved. I thought it may be a setting as it has happened on a few exchanges now. The sim in an old HTC phone is fine!!! (diamond not touch pro 2). The area I call from is not the issue , it happens all over the country. THE ONLY TIME IT SEEMS OK IS WHEN I HAVE A BLUETOOTH HEADSTET ON .I have never had a problem then.

Don't know of any setting that would turn the phones reception to a lower level, it's normally either on or off. Wonder if it is a problem with the particular handset.
Don't suppose you know anyone with the same handset as you so you can swap SIM and try?
Sorry no other advise I can suggestMy current device is a HTC Touch HD

I am having exactly the same problem. I am with Orange. I receive a call and after a minute without problems the caller will notice that i am fading until they cannot hear me at all. I have learned that if I swap the phone around (i.e. put the camera to my ear) it improves things for them but then I can't hear them very well. This is a consistent problem for me.
