    Default Wifi Connectivity Problem

    Hi,
I have a HTC Touch Viva Phone. I am facing a peculiar probelm with the wireless connectivity of phone.
I have a Motorola SBG900 wireless router at home and my laptops run fine with it. I have secured it with WEP 64 Bit key.
When I connect my mobile to this wireless and specify WEP key, it shows data session connected. Also the weather application manually refreshs the weather data,
However when I go to either of browsers, Opera or IE, and even want to open google or any other site, it gives a page not found error. even the default search box on browser page not able to find anything and returns same error.
I have checked there is no problem with DNS and at the same time, my 1 or 2 laptops are browsing correctly.
Please help me with the settings.
    Thanks,
    Piyush

The Screen Shows, My Work Network in the 1st Dropdown Box and MY ISP in the 2nd dropdown Box.

Any particular reason why you have "my work network" in the 1st box?

Set to "My ISP" in both.

Done... and now strangely even the weather update appliaction stopped working.. Browsers continue not to work..
Did not get time to change both dropdowns to "My work Network" and try...
If your answer depends on this, then may be we'll have to wait till evening when I'll post the outcome if both dropdowns are set at "My work Network"...

Sorry to read that it didn't work for you.

"My ISP" has always worked on all the devices we have at work. By default, as appears in Windows Mobile, it's nothing but a plain network connection with no network configuration or proxy - similar to Local Area Connection in Windows. Some older versions of Windows Mobile don't even have a "My ISP" setting.

Assuming your wifi connection does not require any additional proxy or network settings, "My ISP" should work unless your "My ISP" is not what it appears, in which case, try creating a new plain connection. If you notice the description of each box it's the first box that matters when getting online in most cases, regardless of wifi or mobile connection.

PS. If the user changes the first box from "My ISP" to the mobile operator's network, whenever a program goes online, the device will automatically connects to the GPRS/3G network, whatever the case may be.
