Thread: Configuring o2 Internet

Hi hope this is the right place.

I just upgraded to a Touch2 and I'm with O2 PAYG. Does anyone know how to setup the mobile internet that I get with my o2 sim?

I asked o2 for the settings and they said it's

Homepage: http://wap.o2.co.uk/
APN address: payandgo.o2.co.uk
Gateway (IP) address : 193.113.200.195
Username : payandgo
Password: password
Session type: Continuous or permanent
Authentication: Normal
Security: Off
Port number: 9201

Data Bearer : GPRS
Access Point Node (APN): payandgo.o2.co.uk
User ID: payandgo
Password: password
Authentication: Normal
Gateway: 193.113.200.195
MMS Message Server: http://mmsc.mms.02.co.uk:8002
Session Mode: Permanent

But I can't get it to work? They said they don't have specific details for my phone. I'm hoping someone on here knows the right settings!

these are the settings that i use, it allows full internet access and messenger, but i havent checked if it can or can't send e-mail.

Full internet access

Try this setting:
1.Tap Start - Settings - Connections Tab - Connections.
2.Under 'My Work Network', choose 'Add a new modem connection'.
3.Enter ‘Connection: o2 GPRS’. ‘Modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)’
4.Tap Next.
5.Enter ‘Access Point Name: payandgo.o2.co.uk’
6.Username: payandgo
7.Password: password
8.Tap Finish.
9.Back in the connections settings screen, under 'My Work Network', tap 'Edit My Proxy Server'.
10.Tick 'This network connects to the Internet' and 'This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet'.
11.In the proxy server box enter: 193.113.200.195
12.Tap Advanced.
13.Tap HTTP, Enter ‘server:193.113.200.195’, ‘Port: 8080’, Tap OK.
14.Tap WAP, Enter ‘server:193.113.200.195’, ‘Port: 9201’, Tap OK.
15.SecureWAP : EMPTY
16.Tap Socks, Enter ‘server:193.113.200.195’, ‘Port: 1080’, ‘Type: Socks 4’, Tap OK.
17.Tap OK
18.Tap OK
