Thread: problem with text messages

Hi,

Ever since I bought the phone, when I receive text messages, the time displayed is wrong. It's as if they come from another time zones. Its always a difference of 4-5 hours. Its not that I receive them a few hours later, I receive it as soon as the person sends it. For example it is 4:15am, it will say that I received it or that it was sent at 9:15 am.

My second problem is that, on my touchFLO text message icon, it always display that I have one unread text message. Even when I go in all my messages and press the left tab (inbox) it says that I had one unread text in my inbox. However, I've checked EVERY text message but the number is still there.

I was having the same problems with my text messages having incorrect time stamp. I am on the -6 UTC zone, and when I received text message it will having it a day after time stamp. So what I did, my personal solution was to change the time zone ONLY to that that of +11 UTC.
LOL. Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but it works. My time remains the same, only my time zone changed. I know it is wrong but I don't care. Now when I receive text messages, they will have the correct time.
You just have to play with the time zone and find one which "fixes" the time stamps for your text messages.
